PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE COMPLETING:
Welcome to LSF's Youth Forums, designed to ENGAGE your students in local climate issues, EQUIP them with knowledge and skills needed to make change, and EMPOWER them to take action.
After the success of our first ever virtual youth forums last year, we're excited to be able to offer these exciting opportunities to classes across Canada in the 2021/2022 school year. The 6-week event series will include:
- 2 virtual after-school PD sessions for teachers
- a virtual kickoff event
- virtual hands-on student workshops
- an Action Project grant to support climate action in your community
All session will be available both live and recorded to suit your schedule.
PD sessions will cover basic climate change info, offer inspiration and ideas to help you explore climate action-based learning with your students. You'll participate in interactive knowledge-building activities, learn more about climate science, receive access to resources, and connect with like-minded educators.
Student workshops will cover various climate change issues that impact your community and present ideas and opportunities for students to take action! Workshops will be delivered by local organizations to provide relevant context and insight for your students and act as potential community partners for your Action Projects Please email samantha@LSF-LST.ca if you have any questions

The Youth Forum events are 100% virtual, so you can participate no matter what your class looks like this year! Whether you're in the classroom, teaching virtually, or a mix of both, we've got you covered.
We know this year may be a bit unpredictable, but our Youth Forum events should be flexible enough to account for any learning situation you find yourself in! We're happy to help if you foresee any technical problems.
